Senior Content Strategist role at Pearson. We are seeking an experienced Content Strategist to lead the planning and development of content on Pearson’s primary marketing and e-commerce website. You will work with designers, marketers, and product developers, with responsibilities ranging from lead facilitator to collaborator depending on the project. We are looking for a strategic, curious, and self-motivated thinker who can drive an overarching strategy that accounts for business goals, user personas, data analytics, competitive analysis, and more. Experience with content design systems, content models, UX writing, information architecture, and presenting to stakeholders is important. Knowledge of design conventions is helpful, but the ability to foster effective relationships with UX/UI designers is paramount. In this role you will translate high-level goals and strategy into concrete on-page content, support other content creators by promoting best practices, and wear many hats as part of a small, versatile team. Key Accountabilities Writes clear instructional UX copy and collaborates on content projects. Manages and governs content to ensure quality and brand consistency. Influences copy production and distribution aligned with tone of voice guidelines. Develops strategies to engage target audiences and meet business goals. Experience developing and executing content strategy for e-commerce initiatives. Establishes KPIs to assess content effectiveness and iterates based on feedback. Collaborates with teams to align content with user experience objectives. Prioritizes accessibility and inclusivity in all written materials. Tailors content development based on user personas and journey mapping. Understands localization and globalization principles for diverse markets. Has a general knowledge of SEO techniques and how they relate to marketing and ecommerce sites. Experience working with AI as a productivity tool and platform feature. Leads projects with confidence, empathy, quality, and efficiency. Takes responsibility for content quality, process documentation, and on-time delivery. Fosters a positive, collaborative team culture and promotes learning and best practices. Knowledge & Experience Experience with user-centric and immersive content, data-driven strategies, adaptive content models, and standards. Proven experience in content strategy and content design. Strong verbal and written communication and copywriting skills. Experience with technical architecture and implementation of content components, platforms, frameworks, and patterns. Experience designing content for digital products and websites. Experience using evidence, data, and research to support decisions. Experience effectively managing many stakeholders. Strong problem-solving, deadline management, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities. Hands-on experience with agile methodologies. Experience using assets like content maps, content models, and site maps. Experience with tools such as Microsoft Office, Jira, Figma. Experience in research and usability testing, A/B or multivariate testing. Values teamwork and is a strong team player. Ability to explain content modeling processes and structured content organization within a headless environment. Compensation and How to Apply Compensation at Pearson is influenced by factors including skill set, level of experience, and location. The pay range for this position adheres to applicable laws. The minimum full-time salary range is between $115,000 - $125,000. This position may participate in an annual incentive program. Information on benefits offered is provided here.
