Assess furniture for parts replacement and repairability. Restore damaged furniture to like-new condition, including case goods, upholstery, and leather. Clean and maintain furniture and mattresses. Safely operate hand and power tools required for repairs. Participate in bench testing evaluations to maintain skills. Support the growth and training of fellow technicians. Follow instructions and document service activities clearly and accurately. Adhere to scheduled routes for timely service delivery. Communicate any service issues to the Customer Response Team. Perform weekly vehicle maintenance and keep logs updated. Maintain a tidy and organized service vehicle, stocked with necessary repair supplies. Comply with driving policy and annual MVR reviews. Assist shop technicians with repair tasks as needed. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: High School Diploma. At least 1 year of practical experience in furniture repair, upholstery, and wood refinishing. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; additional languages are a plus. Proficient in managing time and working independently. Eager to learn in-house computer systems. Valid Driver's License with a suitable Motor Vehicle Record. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Good vision, hearing, and the ability to speak clearly. Ability to sit for extended periods and engage in repetitive tasks. Must be able to stand and move on foot, bend, squat, and reach. Lift and carry objects of up to 50 pounds, with assistance.
