Overview A leading global real estate investment and development company is seeking a
Senior Accountant
to join its corporate accounting team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and a drive to improve processes in a dynamic environment.
Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will support a collaborative team, ensure accurate financial reporting, and contribute to best practices that align with the company’s financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements) in accordance with
US GAAP
Support accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closes (journal entries, reconciliations, reporting)
Assist with budget variance analysis by compiling and reviewing financial data
Partner cross-functionally with finance, treasury, tax, and legal to ensure accurate accounting treatment
Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure compliance
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
Support special projects and ad-hoc financial analyses as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field ( CPA preferred )
2–4 years of progressive accounting experience ( real estate or public accounting experience a plus )
Strong knowledge of
US GAAP
and financial reporting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas required)
Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards, Yardi, or similar)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
