Position Summary Senior Open Source Analyst
supports U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) by conducting in-depth open source intelligence (OSINT) analysis to assess, forecast, and explain national security issues. You will integrate information from multiple sources to provide actionable intelligence that supports investigations, operations, and policy development.
Day to Day Responsibilities
Conduct OSINT analysis and produce detailed reports and intelligence products as required by CBP
Collaborate with other intelligence disciplines to develop comprehensive and reliable finished intelligence products
Assess emerging OSINT methodologies and tools, providing recommendations for adoption or improvement
Brief senior personnel and officers on OSINT findings and relevant intelligence assessments
Provide expert consultation on leveraging OSINT data, specialized tools, and product development
Support the creation and refinement of OSINT targeting and exploitation techniques
Analyze OSINT policy development and tradecraft to enhance intelligence operations
Utilize advanced OSINT and social media collection and analysis techniques to support force protection, counter-threats, counterintelligence, and integrated all-source intelligence efforts
Conduct research and analysis on investigative, regional, or functional national security issues using multi-source intelligence
Deliver all-source analytic support for collections, operations, investigations, and intelligence requirements
Maintain familiarity with advanced internet research techniques, including Boolean logic and use of social media and digital platforms for intelligence gathering

Top Secret

Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of
seven (7)
years of experience in open source research, all-source intelligence analysis, collection management, or targeting
Experience analyzing or exploiting publicly available information (PAI) and social media platforms
Proficient with advanced internet-based research techniques, including Boolean logic, search engines, databases, and social networking tools
Experience accessing, researching, and exploiting global and regional social media and digital platforms
Knowledge or experience working with crypto/virtual assets and related problem sets
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and related software tools
