Director of Risk Management
at its corporate headquarters in South Florida. This is a $7B+ enterprise and the largest distributor in its industry, operating across 600+ locations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and international export markets. The company provides a dynamic and professional environment with strong functional support for its business units. Responsibilities
Design and implement an overall risk management process, including financial impact analysis. Select and manage broker relationships on behalf of the organization. Review and assess insurance policies to ensure appropriate coverage. Negotiate with brokers and carriers to secure optimal insurance rates. Oversee claims and settlements, analyzing alternative coverage options when needed. Promote risk awareness through policies, procedures, and training. Develop and coordinate loss control functions. Maintain records of insurance policies and claims. Prepare risk management and insurance budgets. Deliver risk assessment reports and communicate operational impacts to stakeholders. Manage captive insurance administration for workers’ compensation, general liability, and auto. Review contracts to identify potential risk issues. Qualifications
Must-Have: 8–10 years of risk management experience, with 5+ in leadership roles. Experience in both brokerage and corporate risk management environments. Strong background in safety and insurance risk management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail orientation. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Nice-to-Have: Local candidates preferred, but relocation considered for the right fit. Seniority level
