About the Role: The Sales Engineer Laser Trackers is a consultative technical sales role responsible for driving the adoption of Hexagons laser tracker product portfolio across key industrial sectors. This role partners closely with customers to understand their manufacturing measurement challenges and proposes tailored solutions using our industry-leading 3D metrology systems. Identify and develop new business opportunities in the laser tracker segment within defined territories and industries. Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and consultative selling to manufacturing customers. Support key customers in aerospace, automotive, energy, and general manufacturing industries with customized measurement solutions. Collaborate with Applications Engineers and Product Managers to deliver proof-of-concept demonstrations and technical ROI analyses. Lead technical aspects of proposals, quotes, and RFIs for customer projects. Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasting. Represent Hexagon MI at industry trade shows, customer events, and product trainings. Partner with the customer success team to ensure post-sale support and satisfaction. Qualifications
Must Have Skills: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Metrology, Manufacturing Technology, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical sales, metrology, or manufacturing solutions. Deep technical understanding of 3D laser trackers or portable metrology systems. Excellent communication, presentation, and customer-facing skills. Nice To Have Skills: Familiarity with Hexagons Leica Laser Tracker systems or similar competitive products. Experience in industries like aerospace, defense, energy, or automotive manufacturing. Knowledge of CAD/CAM, point cloud analysis, or manufacturing data analytics tools. Prior experience working with integrators, resellers, or VARs in a technical sales capacity. Physical Demands
Frequent travel up to 50% within the United States. Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Regular use of standard office equipment, computers, and metrology tools. Work Environment
This role is Remote or Hybrid with frequent travel to customer sites, manufacturing facilities, or Hexagon MI offices as needed. Office settings will vary from clean-room environments to shop floors requiring PPE. What We Offer
