Senior Visual Media Services Consultant

Overview The Senior Consultant, Visual Media Installations will play a key role in managing the installation and support of conference rooms throughout the OhioHealth system. The position leads the OhioHealth strategic imperative of growth by supporting installs and visual media activities. The role includes assigning work, coordinating, and executing technology installations that align with OhioHealth’s mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities. The Senior Consultant may lead a team, work with vendors, and collaborate with other departments across the system.
Responsibilities and Duties
Report to the Manager, Visual Media, with matrixed accountability to other team members; provide resource support and guidance.
Supervise or mentor staff as appropriate; participate in associate performance discussions with the manager.
Manage, coordinate, and execute installation, de-installation, and repair of Audio-Visual equipment systems (knowledge of CISCO Hub, Extron, Crestron, and complex AV systems).
Assist with creating standards of work, policies and procedures; collect data for cost savings and growth.
Maintain surplus AV equipment inventory for repurposing across the system.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders (Design & Construction, Project Managers, IT, contractors, facilities, AV vendors, and room owners/users) to determine needs, usage, budget, and timeline.
Coordinate all aspects of AV equipment installation, commissioning, and staff training.
Lead AV integration vendor and IT discussions to determine suitable equipment and design.
Develop and manage room design/build criteria evolving with technology and design changes.
Oversee de-installation, transportation, storage, and redeployment of surplus AV equipment to achieve cost savings.
Manage multiple projects in different phases; mentor and assist other Visual Media Services staff on installation projects.
Serve as an expert technical resource for equipment and technology troubleshooting; coordinate vendor service calls for complex repairs.
Participate in long-term project meetings and manage project timelines and priorities; strong multi-tasking and technical AV background required.
Maintain excellent organizational and communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s Degree
6+ years’ experience in AV installations
Specialized Knowledge
Excellent technical knowledge of software and hardware for AV installations (e.g., Extron PCS, TMS, Webex Control Hub)
Strong project planning and leadership abilities
Ability to work under pressure, meet strict timelines and budgets in a fast-paced environment
Clear and effective communication; strong leadership capabilities
Experience coordinating contracts, vendors, and IT integration; knowledge of construction processes and AV/IT technologies
Ability to manage multiple and rapidly changing priorities
Coordinate, schedule, and execute AV installation projects
Desired Attributes

Specialized degree from AV/Multi-Media technical school
CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D certifications
