Overview
Senior Visual Media Services Consultant at OhioHealth Employer Solutions. The Senior Consultant, Visual Media Installations will play a key role in managing the installation and support of conference rooms throughout the OhioHealth system. The position will lead the OhioHealth strategic imperative of growth by supporting installs and visual media activities. The role is accountable for assigning work, coordinating, and executing technology installations that align with OhioHealth’s mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities. The position requires the ability to lead a team in assigning projects, working with vendors, and collaborating with other departments throughout the system.
Responsibilities And Duties
Reports to the Manager, Visual Media, with matrixed accountability to other team members. Supervisory responsibilities over staff, with guidance from higher management on hiring, discipline, promotion, demotion, or transfers when consulted.
Manage, coordinate, and help the team install, de-install, and repair Audio-Visual Equipment systems. Knowledge of CISCO Hub, Extron, Crestron, and complex AV systems.
Assist with creating standards of work, policies and procedures, and collect data for overall savings and growth.
Manage the team in maintaining surplus AV equipment inventory for repurposing across the system.
Maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders (Design & Construction, Project Managers, IT, Construction contractors, electricians and low-voltage contractors, Facilities Engineering, AV vendors, and room owners/users) to determine needs, usage, budget, and timeline.
Coordinate all facets of AV equipment installation, commissioning, and staff training.
Lead AV Integration vendors and IT discussions to determine the most suitable equipment/design.
Develop and manage room design build criteria as technology and design philosophy evolve.
Oversee de-installation, transportation, storage, and redeployment of surplus AV equipment to achieve cost savings.
Manage multiple projects in various phases while mentoring Visual Media Services staff on installation projects.
Serve as expert technical resource for equipment and technology troubleshooting.
Coordinate vendor service calls for difficult repairs and participate in recurring meetings for long-term projects.
Project management, time-management, multitasking, and strong technical background in AV systems are required.
Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.
Manage workloads of team members and assign projects to balance workloads and provide learning opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's Degree
6+ years of experience in AV installations
Specialized Knowledge
Excellent technical knowledge of software and hardware used in AV installations (Extron PCS, TMS, Webex Control Hub, etc.).
Strong knowledge of AV installation projects and planning.
Ability to work under pressure, meet strict timelines and budgets, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Clear and simple communication; strong leadership as an informal team leader.
Strong oral communication, researching, and presentation skills.
Collaborative problem-solving with other departments and management levels.
Ability to manage multiple and rapidly changing priorities.
Understanding of AV installation planning, including contract negotiation, vendor coordination, project management, construction processes, AV technologies, and IT technologies.
Coordinate, schedule, and execute AV installation projects.
