HDR is seeking a Traffic Design Specialist to help expand our services in the Midwest, with a focus on Kansas and Missouri. The position reports to the MO-KS Traffic Section and will have a major focus in the areas of traffic and ITS design. Traffic signal and interconnect plans Roadway/highway illumination plans ITS, fiber, and communications plans Traffic signal corridor / system timing plans Railroad signaling plans Transit signal plans Signing and pavement-marking plans Freeway guide signing plans Complete Streets / Quick-build improvement plans Electric vehicle charging infrastructure plans Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technology-related field 10-20 years of relevant experience with traffic and technology design Analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills PE registration (MO/KS) a plus Preference given to local candidates #LI-MV3 Required Qualifications

Associate's degree in engineering or related field of study or equivalent work experience A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in the discipline to be supported Aptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications specific to the discipline to be supported Knowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline being supported Proficient with Microsoft Office Good verbal and written communication skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe
