Base pay range

Position Summary The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by generating new sales opportunities, managing key customer relationships, and ensuring an exceptional showroom experience. This dual-role position combines inside sales support with outside business development, including cultivating partnerships with builders, dealers, and commercial accounts. Success in this role will be measured by sales growth, customer satisfaction, and the expansion of market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Outside Sales & Business Development: Identify, pursue, and close new business with builders, dealers, designers, and commercial accounts
Conduct regular visits to maintain relationships, deliver samples, and uncover opportunities
Expand dealer/builder network and attend industry events
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategy
Inside Sales & Showroom: Serve as the second point of contact for walk-in customers, calls, and showroom visitors
Provide product guidance, prepare accurate estimates, and follow up on quotes
Maintain showroom displays, samples, and inventory to ensure a professional environment
Support project scheduling and documentation with internal teams
Sales Tracking & Reporting: Enter and maintain accurate records for all leads, quotes, and customer interactions in CRM
Track follow-ups and next steps to ensure timely communication
Submit weekly and monthly reports on sales activity, pipeline, and dealer network growth
Use CRM data to identify trends and performance gaps
Collaboration & Accountability: Work with the General Manager to align on sales strategy and goals
Coordinate with fabrication and installation teams for smooth project delivery
Participate in weekly reviews and provide updates on sales, pipeline, and showroom activity
Own achievement of KPIs in sales growth, customer satisfaction, and CRM accuracy
Qualifications
5+ years of progressive experience in outside sales, business development, or new account acquisition, preferably within construction, building materials, or related industries
Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets with a proven ability to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities
3+ years of experience in inside sales, customer support, or administrative functions supporting sales operations
Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present products and solutions to diverse audiences
Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn and adapt to industry-specific software and tools
Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism
Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and foster long-term partnerships
Plus commission
