We are seeking a mission-driven finance leader with exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong background in financial management. Position: Director of Finance Location: Visalia, CA Compensation: $95k-$105k/year, depending on experience. Job type: Full-time Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting and finance functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Manage grant accounting and compliance, including federal, state, and private funding sources. Collaborate with program staff to prepare budgets and financial documentation for grant proposals and reporting. Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Supervise finance staff and coordinate with external auditors for annual audits. Maintain internal controls and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures. Monitor cash flow, investments, and long- and short-term debt obligations. Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Executive Director and Board of Directors. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred). Minimum 5 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in a non-profit or education setting. Strong knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and grant compliance preferred. Experience managing federal and state grants; familiarity with 2 CFR 200 and A-133 audit standards a plus. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen. Benefits
