Scientist (Seattle, WA)

– Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. seeks a Scientist (Seattle, WA) to assist with researching literature and market landscape to identify potential therapeutic targets and associated product concepts. Devise experimental plans to validate identified targets. Generate libraries of immunotherapeutic proteins and perform assay-based screening to identify promising hits. Perform standard T cell characterization assays, including cocultures to evaluate antigen specificity, target cell cytotoxicity, and T cell proliferation. Analyze high-throughput data using bioinformatics workflows in R and adjust parameters as necessary. Employ state-of-the-art automation instruments and collaborate with automation scientists to refine protocols. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior interns. Interpret and present data at working groups to help the broader department make data-driven decisions. Travel required: 4% domestic. Salary range:

$79,100.00 – $129,100.00 per year Job Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Biology or related field and 3 years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry research experience. Employer will also accept a Master’s degree in the mentioned fields and 1 year of specified experience. Experience with: cell signaling pathways, protein engineering and cancer immunotherapies. Molecular biology techniques such as DNA construct design and cloning, including large-scale library cloning and quality assessment using Next-Generation Sequencing. Mammalian cell culture and cell line engineering by CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing. Common laboratory automation platforms, such as Hamilton and Integra Assist Plus. Multicolor analytical flow cytometry, as well as fluorescence activated cell sorting (FACS). Common data analysis software including FlowJo and GraphPad Prism. Bioinformatic analysis of sequence data using R and/or Python. Ability to drive results in multiple projects simultaneously and plan and organize work activities to meet schedules and deadlines. Ability to interpret results and present them effectively in a variety of team settings and contribute constructively to scientific discussions. Must have scientific publications in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry research field. Travel requirement: 4% domestic. Equal Opportunity
