We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Associate Attorney with a focus on Insurance Defense to join our growing firm. This role offers an opportunity to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment, handling complex insurance defense cases from inception through trial. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and a strong commitment to client service. Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of complex insurance defense files from start to finish. Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients, including pleadings, motions, and briefs. Conduct extensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in civil litigation. Negotiate settlements for legal disputes on the best possible terms for our clients. Participate in developing strategies for the defense and litigation of cases. Work collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure a high level of client service. Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Stay updated on new laws, regulations, and industry trends that may affect our clients\' businesses. Provide legal advice to clients on various insurance matters, including premise liability and transportation. Qualifications
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the state bar of California. A minimum of 4 years of experience in civil litigation defense attorney (Ideally Insurance Defense). Proven experience in mortgage, banking, real estate and other related fields like construction defect. Exceptional analytical skills and a strong attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in legal research software and MS Office Suite. A commitment to delivering excellent client service and maintaining client relationships.
