Automation Analyst

role at

SACO AEI Polymers

We’re hiring an Automation Analyst to lead design, implementation, and operations for EDI integrations with QAD and enterprise data automations. You’ll own B2B messaging and day to day automation delivery across Python, Azure Logic Apps, and Microsoft Power Platform working closely with the ERP Team, Data Architect, Power Platform Developer, and Salesforce Architect to build secure, reliable, and well governed solutions. (QAD knowledge is a plus.)

What You\'ll Be Doing

Own EDI with QAD: Design and operate EDI/B2B workflows (AS2, X12/EDIFACT), onboard trading partners, maintain agreements and schemas, and ensure acknowledgments, retries, and error handling are in place.

Build & run automations: Create and maintain event driven and scheduled automations using Logic Apps, Power Automate, and Python; ensure idempotency, robust logging, alerting, and run after/compensation patterns.

Integrate with QAD: Work with the ERP team to implement and support integrations via QAD interoperability (e.g., QXtend), aligning interface contracts, field mappings, and transaction controls.

Partner across platforms: Collaborate with the Salesforce Architect and Power Platform Developer to implement integration patterns (API first, async messaging, data sync) while respecting platform limits and governance.

Governance & ALM: Standardize environments, solutions, and pipelines (Git/Azure DevOps or GitHub) for build/test/release; enforce DLP and connectors policies; maintain versioned artifacts and change records.

Security & compliance: Protect secrets and keys (e.g., Azure Key Vault); apply least privilege, auditing, and rotation; document data lineage and retention.

Observability & support: Implement monitoring and B2B tracking dashboards; set up alerts; maintain runbooks; lead incident response and post incident reviews; track SLAs/SLOs.

Documentation: Publish interface specs, partner onboarding guides, data maps, deployment guides, and job/runbooks.

Project coordination: Drive backlog grooming, milestones, and stakeholder updates; manage risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions (RAID) to land outcomes on time.

What You Need To Succeed

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.

3 to 5 years’ experience with integrations/automation (any mix of EDI/B2B, Logic Apps or similar iPaaS, Python scripting, and/or Power Automate/Power Platform).

Hands on with EDI concepts and artifacts (partner profiles, agreements, envelopes, control numbers, functional acknowledgments) and common messages (e.g., orders, invoices, advance ship notices).

Proficient with Azure Logic Apps or comparable iPaaS (triggers/actions, integration accounts, connectors) and Power Automate for business automations.

Practical Python skills for data processing and automation (packaging, virtual environments, logging), plus Git based version control and CI/CD familiarity.

Strong SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting across source/target systems.

Clear written/verbal communication; ability to translate between business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications (nice To Have)

Experience integrating with QAD (e.g., QXtend) or another major ERP (SAP/Oracle/Dynamics/Infor).

Familiarity with Salesforce integration patterns and platform limits (bulk/API, platform events, middleware).

Experience with Azure governance (Key Vault, Azure Monitor/Log Analytics) and data protection practices.

Exposure to Power Platform ALM (managed solutions, pipelines, environment strategy, DLP policies).

Scripting/automation in PowerShell or Azure Functions for integration glue.

Formal training/certification in project management or IT service management is a plus.

Why You’ll Love Working Here At SACO AEI Polymers, you’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team that values innovation, integrity, and impact. You’ll work on meaningful projects that shape the future of polymer applications, with the freedom to explore new ideas and the support to bring them to life.
