Senior DDI Network Design Engineer at Corebridge Financial. The Information Technology organization drives technology and digital transformation, partnering with business leaders to design and execute IT strategies with appropriate risk management and security measures. About The Role

The Senior DDI Network Design Engineer will work within the Network Services Architecture organization, focusing on global design, architecture, standardization, and emerging technologies related to the Enterprise DDI solution and other network-related areas. The engineer will lead development, sustainability, and operations to support the Network Services Enterprise DDI environment. The role requires industry knowledge in DDI (BlueCat), Software Defined infrastructure, cloud (AWS and Azure) strategies, data center and WAN technologies, global load balancing, and automation development and workflows. The engineer will develop reference architectures, support standards through a comprehensive review process, and develop standards based on business requirements. Responsibilities

Establish and Maintain Technical DDI Standards. Interface with other technology towers and vendors. Act as escalation point for critical operational issues. Recommend and oversee implementation of DDI technologies or maintenance of solutions. Recommend and lead efforts in the area of optimization and automation. Improve environment on all levels (Ops, Deployment, Design, Tools, etc.). Review and improve DDI network architecture standards as well as proposed Network Changes. Design and Review Scopes of Work with internal and external teams including budget aspects. Oversee implementation efforts across the enterprise Network, Data Center, and design to ensure expected outcomes with internal and external teams. Act as Network Team lead (SME) on projects as it relates to Network Services with Business partners and other teams. May conduct training and knowledge transfer to internal and external team members as required. Participate in Technology Strategy sessions and direction. Lead and participate in Manufacture and Technology team learning. Review security releases and provide guidance to address potential threats (CVEs). Certify and recommend hardware platforms and code versions. Collaborate with IT Security on best network security practices. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for Severity 1 Incidents and Network Outages. Participate in capacity management and planning; lead efforts to reduce operational costs. Skills And Qualifications

7+ years of proven experience designing, deploying, maintaining, and managing large-scale BlueCat DDI (DNS, DHCP and IPAM), with a focus on performance optimization and scalability. Experience with BlueCat including AD and Route 53 integrations. Deep understanding of DNS, NTP, IPAM, BIND, and DHCP; IP management including issuance, inventory, tracking, and reporting. Experience architecting, implementing, and configuring the BlueCat OEM platform. Experience supporting and troubleshooting incidents, engaging in escalation bridges, and driving discovery sessions. Extensive scripting knowledge (Perl, Shell, Python) to automate Network tasks and improve operational efficiency. Experience analyzing DDI logs and reporting. Assist with enterprise network automation efforts, developing scripts and tools to streamline network SDI solutions and reduce manual workload. Operate and manage technical DDI projects and collaborate with other teams. Working knowledge of network management and monitoring platforms; switches, routers, load balancers, and firewalls interactions with DDI. Familiarity with Route 53 and BlueCat operations and integrations in the Cloud (AWS, Azure). Network operating systems: Windows Server, Linux, UNIX, etc. Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across teams and leadership levels. Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability. Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 7+ years of experience in DDI design, engineering, deployment, maintenance, or administration. Proficiency in DDI BlueCat products and DNS/DHCP configuration. Solid understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, and network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP). Familiarity with BlueCat REST API and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and Postman for automating DDI tasks. Familiarity with DNS/DHCP security best practices, including DNSSEC and network segmentation (internal and external). Experience with Cloud-based DDI integrations in AWS/Azure; 3rd party providers (e.g., Cloudflare). Strong scripting skills (Python, Shell, Perl, Bash, PowerShell) and Ansible for automation; 5+ years of relevant experience. Solid understanding of servers, appliances, and operating systems associated with BlueCat solutions. Excellent troubleshooting skills; ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal abilities; collaboration across teams and leadership levels. Network and protocol knowledge; practical experience delivering system design, testing, and operational stability. Compensation

The anticipated salary range is $110,000 to $155,000 at commencement. The actual offer depends on location, skills, experience, and other qualifications. Eligible for a discretionary bonus per the applicable incentive plan. Corebridge also offers competitive benefits as part of the total compensation package. Work Location

This position is based in Corebridge Financials Houston, TX or Jersey City, NJ office and follows a hybrid working policy allowing both in-office and remote work. Estimated Travel
