Bringing your mechanical expertise and creativity to complex design challenges across diverse manufacturing environments. Take ownership of engineering projects from concept through production while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of new products and assemblies
Create cost and time estimates for prototypes and production parts
Design with a focus on sheet metal, castings, extrusions, and plastic molding
Perform FEA/CFD simulations to validate mechanical performance
Redesign existing products for improved durability and manufacturability
Collaborate with internal teams and customers on technical solutions
Develop and execute test plans (DATP) for product validation
Ensure designs meet industry standards and best practices
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
10+ years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in SolidWorks and 3D modeling of complex assemblies
Strong understanding of materials, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes
Experience with ERP/MRP systems; IFS or Acumatica a plus
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed
Office and light manufacturing setting
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. and operate standard tools and equipment
Occasional work in non-climate-controlled areas; PPE required
