Associate Attorney (DMV Area)

We are seeking a full-time, experienced Associate Attorney in the DMV area who is committed to delivering exceptional immigration legal services while working collaboratively with a team that shares the same purpose.

You will play a critical role in guiding clients through some of the most challenging moments of their lives, while working alongside our managing attorney, associate attorneys, and support staff to achieve life-changing outcomes.
Responsibilities
Conduct client/PNC consultations with the support of legal assistants and staff, providing clear and compassionate advice on available legal solutions. Supervise and guide legal assistants and administrative staff, ensuring excellence in client services. Develop legal strategies and work closely with clients to gather documentation and build strong, well-prepared cases. Research complex immigration issues and craft creative, practical solutions tailored to client needs. Handle a wide range of matters including removal defense, affirmative and defensive asylum, U visas, T visas, VAWA, waivers, and related humanitarian and family-based cases. Travel as needed to attend in-person USCIS interviews and immigration court hearings in other states, ensuring clients receive strong representation wherever their case is heard. Represent clients before USCIS and EOIR, including Master Calendar hearings, Individual hearings, motions, and appeals. Draft, review, and edit briefs, motions, and other pleadings with precision and strong legal analysis. Provide timely and clear case updates to clients, maintaining trust and transparency. Lead and participate in weekly team meetings, contributing to a culture of accountability and shared mission. Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Minimum of
4 years of full-time experience
in immigration law, including removal defense, humanitarian, and family-based immigration. Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the United States; admission in a DMV jurisdiction preferred. Strong legal research and writing skills (experience with Lexis or similar legal research tools). Excellent written and verbal communication, with impeccable English grammar and attention to detail. Proven ability to manage a demanding caseload independently while collaborating effectively with a team. Client-focused mindset, with the ability to serve with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
