Overview

The Marketing & Communications Specialist is responsible for creating, packaging, and distributing compelling internal and external communications. Reporting to the Communications Manager and working closely with the Marketing, Public Relations, and Business Development teams, the Marketing & Communications Specialist is responsible for crafting exceptional written and digital content that tells the Mintz story and elevates our brand presence. Responsibilities

Produce original stories and articles to support firm-wide internal and external priorities and campaigns. Write, edit, copyedit, and proofread a variety of assigned communications including articles, social media posts, website copy, emails, and event communications. Oversee the firm-wide pages on Mintz.com ensuring information is current and brand aligned. Support the marketing and communications content strategy by identifying pillar content to be promoted across our digital channels. Support internal communications programs including managing the firms intranet content. Create compelling visual communications for digital platforms using Canva and other services. Collaborate independently with attorneys and other administrative teams on assigned projects. Independently own the editorial workflow for all assigned projects. Serve as coordinator and enforcer of the firms style guide. Support the communications team with miscellaneous projects and project overflow. Additional responsibilities as needed to support team and business objectives. Assume additional responsibilities as requested. This role requires 60% in office presence; remote work is permissible 40% of the time. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in marketing and/or communications. Exceptional writing, editorial, and proofreading skills. Experience with digital design platforms (i.e. Canva, Adobe, etc.). Portfolio of relevant work (print, digital, social). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Superior organizational, project management, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Outstanding sense of customer service. Enthusiastic, proactive, and positive attitude. Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion. Excellent attention to detail and ability to execute through to completion. Creative problem solving skills, reasoning ability, and logical thought process. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize competing demands, and meet various deadlines. Demonstrated ability to professionally interact and collaborate with colleagues at all levels. Must be self-motivated to produce quality work. High level of integrity and honesty. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe products. Ability to quickly get up to speed and master new applications and software is critical. Flexibility to work overtime when necessary.
