The Coordinator works directly with the Manager, Law School Marketing & Communications and the Senior Director, Law School Marketing and Communications to coordinate, create, and execute compelling marketing and communications materials for the law school’s external and internal audiences. The Coordinator will assist in drafting articles, digital communication, and other content for law school outreach materials; maintain editorial quality and monitor text and information provided by 3rd party vendors and internal partners for accuracy and consistency. Under guidance from the Senior Director, the Coordinator will collaborate with faculty, administrators, staff, alumni, and vendors to produce 15 to 20 marketing and communication projects per year for law school departments, ensuring projects are aligned with the law school’s strategic goals and budgets. The Coordinator will also collaborate with the University’s creative service department to ensure proper use of the school’s graphic standards. The Coordinator may be asked to attend events to take photographs and/or write content for articles and social media. Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities: Production/Project Management: Assist in the development, production and distribution of law school marketing and communications materials/platforms to support department needs, including direct mail pieces, brochures, programs, digital slides, and other print and digital materials Assist with executing the Senior Director’s strategic vision with cross-functional partners to develop, document and consistently execute protocols to guide external messaging and delivery Coordinate materials and projects for various law school departments including print, digital, and videos as needed Identify and help draft compelling feature stories on alumni, faculty, staff, and students to feature in various platforms Assist with new content development, editing, external agency project management, video development and collaboration with administrators, faculty and alumni Responsible for tactical elements of creating emails for US News, speaker series, invitations and other marketing/promotional emails as needed Collect, research, and maintain alumni updates for Law School magazine Maintain calendar and agendas for meetings with campus partners and external vendors Provide on-site marketing support at events such as symposia, student orientations, and speaker series Writing and Design: Assist with creating targeted executive communications for internal and external audiences, including media relations, short- and long-form written communications, radio spots, website and social posts Assist with developing the law school’s collateral pieces (bul letins, brochures, invitations, direct mail postcards); write and edit articles for review and approval; use graphic design software to create/edit brochures, program ads, and other marketing materials Proofread and edit content submitted for production for grammatical errors and accuracy Social Media: Create, schedule, and manage engaging content across platforms to enhance brand presence and audience engagement; boost posts as necessary; track metrics Law School Website: Work with internal departments on website updates; coordinate with external agency on SEO and PPC marketing campaigns; coordinate faculty, staff, and administration bio page updates; serve as liaison for course description updates; assist with maintenance and training of university systems (Salesforce, MyPostings, Cascade, Canva) Photography: Develop and maintain media gallery; coordinate photography for events and social media; arrange headshots for adjunct faculty, staff, and administrators Special Conditions of Employment: Must be available to work nights and weekends to support law school events Background check:

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum one year of experience in a related field: communications, journalism, publications, external relations, marketing Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in English, communications, marketing, journalism, political science or related field is preferred Performance Expectations
Ability to develop marketing plans, initiate story ideas, and research subjects creatively Ability to develop background information into high-quality journalistic prose Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to work with faculty, staff, students, alumni and vendors Attention to design consistency and layout Ability to write, proofread and edit copy for various materials Working knowledge of graphic design software (InDesign, Illustrator, Canva) Ability to analyze financial data with Excel Ability to prioritize, plan and schedule multiple projects Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with interruptions Strong initiative and ability to work independently Ability to execute projects from concept to completion with high accuracy Knowledge of current marketing communication techniques, including social media Experience with Canva, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop Tools and Equipment Used
