Overview
Manager, Digital & Community Funding at Direct Relief. Direct Relief is a global humanitarian organization focused on providing medicines and healthcare services to those in need. This role supports the Partnerships & Philanthropy team with digital and community fundraising, engaging influencers, content creators, peer-to-peer fundraisers, and digital communities to build sustainable fundraising relationships in support of the organization’s mission. Responsibilities
Sustain, identify, and develop long-term relationships with new and existing mission-aligned digital advocates and peer-to-peer fundraising champions to generate significant financial support. Cultivate strategic partnerships with key influencers, content creators, and community leaders across digital and traditional platforms. Expand Direct Relief’s digital footprint on established and emerging fundraising platforms and spaces with high engagement potential. Represent Direct Relief at events, conferences, and community gatherings to expand digital engagement and partnerships. Drive cross-departmental collaboration to develop content strategies, storytelling assets, and engagement tools that inspire action. Develop content strategy and assets that inspire brand advocacy, sustained engagement, and action. Contribute to strategic planning with leadership to establish KPIs and budgets. Collaborate with internal teams to amplify messaging and create integrated campaigns that drive visibility and revenue. Design and cultivate fundraising ecosystems that foster organic growth and sustainable community engagement. Build and steward digital communities that mobilize recurring support and long-term advocacy. Acquire, maintain, and analyze data on donor interactions to inform tactics and ensure accurate constituent records in the CRM. Carry out or assist with other assigned tasks as needed. Qualifications and Skills
Education and Experience : Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered). Minimum 4 years of digital community and peer-to-peer fundraising experience with proven results in engagement and revenue goals. Demonstrated success in planning, executing, and optimizing multi-channel campaigns including digital and grassroots initiatives. Technical Skills : Proficiency with fundraising platforms (Classy, Luminate, Raiser’s Edge), CRMs (Salesforce, Raiser's Edge NXT), and data analytics tools. Knowledge of short-form video, livestreams, community-based platforms, and emerging digital technologies; experience with livestream events and content creation for digital audiences. Core Competencies : Strong written and verbal communication; ability to create engaging original content. Ability to build relationships within established digital communities. Proven track record in campaign development, execution, measurement, and reporting. Strategic thinking and problem-solving with ability to manage multiple priorities. Understanding of influencer economy and peer-to-peer best practices. Other Skills : Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively. Excellent interpersonal skills with diverse, multicultural communities. Experience soliciting funds and building donor relationships.
