Overview
A Child's Place of Lindenhurst is a licensed childcare center seeking a Director Qualified Lead Teacher to support our Preschool and Pre-K classrooms.
To be qualified for this position, you must have Director Qualification through an Associates or Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education and the ability to pass all background checks. Previous childcare experience is a plus.
Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
Pay Base pay range: $20.00/hr - $23.00/hr. Premier Early Childhood Education Partners provided pay range; your actual pay will be based on skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Responsibilities
Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; use our parent communication app efficiently.
Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
Ensure the safety and well-being of each child, respond to their emotional needs, and maintain an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, and conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during November and May.
Be physically able to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs; lift and carry up to 40 lbs. as required.
Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom related to child care.
