A law firm seeks an experienced attorney to join its expanding practice based in Portland, Oregon. The firm is committed to fostering professional growth, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and provides a collaborative and supportive work environment. Junior and senior associates and lateral/of counsel-level attorneys will be considered. Responsibilities
Advise clients on regulatory, administrative, and compliance matters for electric, natural gas, and water utilities. Prepare legal documents, conduct research, and offer strategic recommendations. Represent clients in regulatory hearings, administrative proceedings, and policy-related matters. Contribute to the firms pro bono initiatives and engage in community involvement. Requirements
Experience in administrative/regulatory law, judicial clerkships, or industries governed by regulation is highly valued. Strong legal research and writing skills with a demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters. Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to collaborative problem-solving. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic legal environment. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications
Active and good-standing membership with the Oregon State Bar (or eligibility for admission). Skills
Proficiency in regulatory law, energy industry standards, and environmental compliance. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication abilities. Familiarity with technology for hybrid work and case management. Benefits
