Position: MBA Summer Consultant – Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), Consumer and Retail Group (CRG)

The Work We Do
Growth Strategy & Implementation Large Scale Transformation M&A, Carve-out and Post-Merger Integration Operations Merchandising & Assortment Optimization Interim Leadership Digital & Analytics / IT Strategy Program Management Office Channel Optimization Manager Summer Consultant Internships are available for students pursuing an MBA with graduation dates between December 2026 and July 2027. We’re seeking curious, driven problem-solvers with a passion for consumer and retail who thrive on complex challenges and work well in fast-moving environments. Responsibilities
Participate in client projects within CRG to deliver high-impact solutions Work on Growth Strategy, Transformation, M&A, Operations, and Digital initiatives Contribute to project planning, data analysis, and presentation materials Collaborate with CRG consulting teams and engage with clients and senior leadership Qualifications
Education: Undergraduate degree; currently pursuing an MBA Experience: 3–5 years in consumer/retail-related business or consulting (professional services or corporate roles with financial/operational focus preferred) Technical Skills: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel; strong data acumen Leadership: Ability to lead and manage complex work streams Problem-Solving: Structured problem-solving approach with data-backed reasoning Analytical Skills: Ability to synthesize analyses into actionable insights Innovation: Creative in developing new tools and approaches Business Development: Experience in proposal development with commercial instincts Communication: Client-ready written communications and presentations Travel: Willingness to travel up to ~70% The Intern Salary is a monthly base of $14,583.33.
