Overview
Haight Brown & Bonesteel LLP is seeking an attorney with significant, hands-on experience in construction defect litigation on the defense side to join our San Diego office. This is a full-time, in-office position. We are not seeking remote applicants; we are looking for candidates who are eager to build a long-term career at the firm and grow into partnership after demonstrating consistent performance, leadership, and contribution. Responsibilities
Manage all phases of construction litigation with emphasis on taking the lead in depositions of plaintiffs and expert witnesses. Draft and respond to discovery and pleadings, prepare and argue motions, and independently manage case files. Second chair trial experience is a plus. Prioritize and handle multiple cases in a fast-paced, collaborative environment; strong research and writing skills essential. Qualifications
Substantial experience in defense-side construction defect litigation, capable of leading depositions and motions. Ability to draft and respond to discovery and pleadings; manage case files independently. Strong research and writing skills; ability to prioritize multiple matters. In-person, San Diego office; not seeking remote work. Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a salary range of
$140,000 - $180,000
per year, plus a
$20,000
annual bonus for meeting the firm’s quarterly billable hour requirements. Benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance and flexible spending accounts.
