Base pay range: $138,200.00/yr - $239,000.00/yr The AWS Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a Senior GameTech Advisory Consultant to shape and transform how enterprises leverage cloud technology. As a Consulting Cloud Architect specializing in GameTech, you will design, implement, and optimize cloud-based solutions tailored to gaming industry clients. You will collaborate with game developers to enhance performance, streamline development pipelines, and deliver seamless player experiences. You will work with stakeholders as trusted advisors, providing guidance on industry trends, cloud transformation, and innovative cloud solutions. You may also contribute to sales support to ensure alignment with customer business outcomes and value realization. About AWS Professional Services: We are a global team of experts that helps customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We collaborate with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives and provide focused guidance through our global specialty practices. Responsibilities Solution Design: Architect cloud solutions on AWS to support game development, live operations, and player engagement. Design scalable infrastructure for multiplayer games, matchmaking, leaderboards, and in-game economies. Client Collaboration: Partner with GameTech clients to understand technical requirements (e.g., low-latency networking, high-availability servers, real-time analytics) and translate business needs into cloud architectures. Optimization: Leverage AWS for Games and Unreal Engine integrations to optimize development pipelines, reduce compilation times, and manage cloud costs. Scalability and Performance: Design cloud infrastructure to handle massive player concurrency and ensure low-latency, high-reliability systems for global game deployments. Security and Compliance: Implement secure cloud environments, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and protecting intellectual property. Consulting and Advisory: Provide technical guidance on cloud-native technologies, microservices, containerization, and AI/ML analytics for personalized player experiences. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams and external partners to deliver end-to-end solutions and integrate cloud services with game engines. Innovation and Trends: Stay updated on GameTech trends (cloud gaming, cross-platform play, esports infrastructure) and prototype new technologies for client use cases.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years in cloud architecture, IT consulting, or solutions engineering, with at least 2 years focused on GameTech. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience with game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and their integration with cloud services (e.g., AWS GameLift). Understanding of game development workflows, including build pipelines, version control, and CI/CD integration. 3+ years of experience with sales targets, business development, and driving customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
AWS experience with a broad range of services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, GameLift). AWS Professional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified AI Practitioner, Machine Learning, Solutions Architect). Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. Proficiency in cloud networking, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation). Knowledge of microservices architectures and cloud-native technologies.
