Senior GameTech Delivery Consultant, Advisory
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a Senior GameTech Advisory Consultant to shape and transform how enterprises leverage cloud technology. As a Consulting Cloud Architect specializing in GameTech, you will design, implement, and optimize cloud-based solutions tailored to the unique needs of gaming industry clients. You will work closely with companies like Riot Games, Epic Games, and Take-Two Interactive to architect scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environments. Your expertise will enable game developers to enhance game performance, streamline development pipelines, and deliver seamless player experiences. Responsibilities
Solution Design: Architect cloud solutions on AWS to support game development, live operations, and player engagement. Design scalable infrastructure for multiplayer games, matchmaking, leaderboards, and in-game economies. Client Collaboration: Partner with GameTech clients to understand their technical requirements, such as low-latency networking, high-availability servers, and real-time analytics for player retention. Translate business needs into cloud architectures. Optimization: Leverage tools like AWS for Games and Unreal Engine integrations to optimize game development pipelines, reduce compilation times, and manage cloud costs. Scalability and Performance: Design cloud infrastructure to handle massive player concurrency and ensure low-latency, high-reliability systems for global game deployments. Security and Compliance: Implement secure cloud environments, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and protecting intellectual property for game assets and player data. Consulting and Advisory: Provide technical guidance on cloud-native technologies, microservices architecture, and containerization. Advise on integrating AI, machine learning, or analytics for personalized player experiences. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams and external partners to deliver end-to-end solutions. Collaborate with game teams to integrate cloud services with Unreal Engine or proprietary engines. Innovation and Trends: Stay updated on GameTech trends, such as cloud gaming, cross-platform play, and esports infrastructure. Prototype new technologies and evaluate their feasibility for client use cases. Basic Qualifications
5+ years in cloud architecture, IT consulting, or solutions engineering, with at least 2 years focused on GameTech. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience 2+ years experience with game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and their integration with cloud services (e.g., AWS GameLift, Epic Online Services). Understanding of game development workflows, including build pipelines, version control, and CI/CD integration. 3+ years experience with sales targets, business development, and driving customer satisfaction Preferred Qualifications
AWS experience preferred, with proficiency in a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and GameLift). AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., AWS Certified AI Practitioner, Machine Learning, Solutions Architect) Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Proficiency in cloud networking, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation). Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud-native technologies.
