Manage cases at all stages of litigation from pre-suit through judgment and develop strategies for efficient resolutions. Manage a hearing calendar and comply with court and client deadlines. Read, analyze, and summarize legal documents; present interpretations to supervisors, clients, courts, and opposing counsel. Negotiate and settle cases in chief as well as pre-suit and post-judgment accounts. Identify legal issues and recommend appropriate actions to clients. Respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Follow directions from supervisors, peers, and management. Satisfy MCLE requirements on an ongoing basis. Report to work regularly and maintain a presence in the office to support fellow attorneys and staff. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school; current license and good standing with the State Bar of California. Experience: none required; civil litigation experience preferred. Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills. Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication. Initiative in learning, seeking information, and asking questions. Strong prioritization skills for timely task completion. Professional demeanor and appearance; ability to work collaboratively. Comply with California professional conduct rules. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to learn software tools as needed. Benefits
