Overview

Bilingual HR Business Partner (Manufacturing) – Michael Foods, Gaylord, Minnesota The primary responsibility is to support line leaders in driving plant performance. This role provides support for employees, uses Spanish and English to interact and translate for trainings and meetings, and leads employee relations initiatives and resolutions for employee concerns. The position partners with plant leadership in a matrix structure and participates in HR projects impacting the facility. Duties support plant safety, food safety, quality and environmental practices. Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, addressing workplace concerns, resolving conflicts, and ensuring fairness in interactions. Conduct and document workplace investigations, gather facts, analyze findings, and recommend actions. Administer and manage employee leave programs (FMLA, short-term disability, and other leaves). Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. Collaborate with managers to implement performance management processes, including coaching, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans. Support employee engagement and retention initiatives, including wellness programs and recognition activities. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with legal and organizational requirements. Assist with coordination and execution of employee training and development programs. Provide day-to-day guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to managers and employees. Monitor workplace trends (absenteeism, turnover) and recommend strategies to address root causes. Participate in organizational changes and ensure employees are supported during transitions. Ensure consistent application of company policies across departments. Collaborate with the HR team and Senior HR Manager to deliver HR support across the organization. Provide ongoing updates to the Senior HR Manager regarding HR activities, trends, and challenges. Process employee terminations (exit interviews, final pay, documentation). Handle unemployment claims with timely, accurate responses to minimize risk. Perform other HR-related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Ability to work a flexible schedule 2 days a week from 11:00am–7:00pm based on business needs. Qualifications

B.S. or B.A. in Business, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. 5+ years of increasing generalist responsibility within Human Resources in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated success managing projects. Bilingual English/Spanish. Education and Experience Preferred

The primary work environment is an office setting; periodic presence in a manufacturing environment where PPE is required. Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials; write reports and procedures; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. Computer Skills

Knowledge of ERP/HCM software, Applicant Tracking System, Internet, project management, spreadsheet, and word processing software. The pay range for this position is $70,386 - $98,541 per year. Job Details
