Overview

Manager Tech Lead (TL) – Engineering, within McDonald’s Global Technology. The TL is responsible for technical solutioning, development, and deployment of products within the Crew & Manager Experiences group. The TL partners with the global product team to define and deliver technical products and solutions using a mix of internal and external (vendor) resources. The Manager Tech Lead ensures the development of applications/services and their architecture is secure, standardized, and easily consumed by other services. They ensure tech design patterns and standard methodologies are consistently applied across systems. Responsibilities

Lead McDonald’s engineering squads and partner with restaurant platform, architecture, product, and engineering teams to create solution designs. Partner with Product Management to lead the entire lifecycle of backlog grooming, attend squad ceremonies, and guide Software Development Engineers in the squad(s). Lead the output quality and efficiency of internal and external development squads to meet McDonald’s standards through code and design reviews. Answer technical questions from squads and remain accountable for technical solutioning. Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and UI/UX to ensure the technical solution meets team plans and goals for Crew & Manager experiences. Diagnose issues spanning multiple teams and make recommendations to resolve them. Define the go-forward support plan for deployed products to global markets. Identify process improvements to meet end customer needs (operators or customers facing challenges with applications). Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent technical education and experience. 5+ years of professional software development experience with .NET Core/.NET Framework and web technologies. 3+ years of experience contributing to architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, scaling). Experience with modern full-stack CI/CD technologies (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across remote and global teams. Knowledge of identity and access management concepts (IAM), including provisioning, authentication, authorization, RBAC, SSO, and federation. Experience with cybersecurity principles, risk management, access controls, and secure coding practices. Understanding of software engineering practices across the full software development life cycle (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, operations). Understanding of software integration, architecture, design patterns, database design, and application security. Preferred Qualifications

Retail experience – POS systems or kitchen management solutions. Experience with projects spanning multiple organizations, geographies, and business units. Compensation and Benefits

The exact compensation may vary based on experience and other factors.
