Product Manager II: Microsoft AI Development Acceleration Program, Redmond Join to apply for the Product Manager II: Microsoft AI Development Acceleration Program, Redmond role at Microsoft. This opportunity enables you to contribute to Microsoft’s AI initiatives as part of a two-year program that develops leaders in the field and provides exposure to mentors and AI scientists across the company. After completing the program, participants may join sponsoring product teams to accelerate their careers at Microsoft. Microsoft is dedicated to transforming Azure into a global AI supercomputer and advancing responsible development of foundational AI, including large language models (LLMs) to empower people and enhance user experiences. Participants will work in interdisciplinary project teams delivering AI as a service to engineering teams across Microsoft, with close collaboration among software engineers, applied scientists, and product teams. An MBA is preferred for this role

and is valuable for navigating complex product decisions and aligning cross-functional teams with market-driven goals. Please note that this position has a single start date in July 2026; candidates must be available to start full-time in July 2026. We cannot accommodate earlier start dates. Responsibilities

Identify unmet customer needs and market opportunities across groups of features for feature development through quantitative and qualitative analyses. Identify dependencies of other feature areas. Collaborate with product teams across Microsoft to translate business needs into AI solutions by scoping impact and prioritizing problems with minimal guidance. Develop problem statements and hypotheses, run experiments, and validate market size to determine the most valuable features. Define final solution options for a group of features. Drive clarity of root problems and engage in customer interactions to gather feedback. Be knowledgeable in market/user research, competitive analyses, and industry trends and regulations. Work with minimal guidance to align customer, market, and feature goals with Microsoft’s strategy. Create and manage end-to-end project plans for technical solutions. Provide hands-on product management during analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation to meet customer requirements. Coordinate day-to-day in Scrum teams and manage risk to ensure timely, high-quality delivery. Evangelize group work with stakeholders and clearly articulate results and ideas to customers, managers, and key decision makers. Partner with software engineers, applied scientists, and colleagues to refine solutions tied to OKRs and KPIs. Stay current with machine learning research and technology and communicate knowledge across the organization. Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience. 1+ year experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. Candidates must be available to start full-time in July 2026. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR MBA degree (or currently pursuing) AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience. 2+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market. 2+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience. Energized by creating AI solutions that positively impact work and lives, across datasets and AI applications. Familiarity with Python/R/Java or similar, and experience in data analysis, data visualization, machine learning/data mining/AI a plus. Proven experience in project/product/program management or customer design. Proficient written and oral communication skills for effective data storytelling and teamwork. Pay and Benefits

Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There are location-based ranges for specific work locations (San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area: USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year).
