Salary and benefits are described below. The starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $5,158.00 per month to $8,944.00 per month. About The Position This position is a technical and functional resource responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and supporting application software and other solutions to support faculty, staff, and the University’s student success initiatives. Under the direction of ITS Director, the incumbent will design and develop new solutions, analyze campus data and technology needs, maintain data integrity, and implement system enhancements. This position focuses on supporting the Salesforce ecosystem, including CRM, Marketing Cloud, and related products.
Responsibilities
Product Development and Support: Design, develop, test, maintain, and support assigned products.
Architect solutions by aligning complex requirements to IT products and solutions.
Upgrade to the latest release of the products and stay up to date on product features and functionalities.
Implement best practices for CRM and product management; facilitate workshops to gather requirements and promote process improvement.
Automate processes where feasible and reduce technical debt.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and end users to identify, document, and implement solutions for various projects and initiatives.
Adhere to Accessibility Section 508 Compliance standards in all technical work.
CRM and Marketing Cloud Administration: Configure, administer, and support the platform, including upgrades; perform data management, audience segmentation, and targeting; develop marketing campaigns and execute with stakeholders; perform integration and automation; troubleshoot and support; manage workflows.
Collaboration and Consultation: Consult with stakeholders to understand needs, partner with faculty and staff on opportunities, gather data for insights, promote CRM features, document requirements, provide end user training, and collaborate with solution vendors as needed.
Other
Design, develop and implement infrastructure changes that integrate key data from campus applications using APIs and best practices.
Deliver reports, dashboards and other BI and analytics; stay current on new technologies in higher education.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Educational Technology, Communications, or related fields, or equivalent certified coursework.
Working knowledge of common software packages, platforms, databases, and training methods.
Basic understanding of networks, data communication, and multimedia systems.
Required Qualifications
Knowledge of lean and agile methodologies.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) including technical writing.
Ability to evaluate complex problems and implement solutions; ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
Ability to manage ambiguity and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Experience and/or knowledge of CRM and Marketing Cloud; experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting technological solutions; ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Skills And Knowledge
Master’s degree
One or more Salesforce or Marketing Cloud certifications
Experience with Salesforce CRM, Digital Marketing, or Communications
Experience integrating data and applications; strong documentation skills; familiarity with BI/reporting tools (Salesforce, PowerBI, Tableau)
Experience in higher education or nonprofit sectors
Condition(s) of Employment Satisfactory completion of a background check and related verifications is required for employment. Cal State East Bay may issue a conditional offer that can be rescinded if check results are disqualifying.
