Key Responsibilities
Statutory/Regulatory Reporting & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with reporting requirements per local regulatory and accounting standards (e.g., FOCUS and net capital rules). Manage the external audit process, prepare technical accounting memos and provide guidance on complex transactions. Establish a robust financial control environment and own monthly balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis as part of the Group month-end close. Prepare detailed breakdowns for ad-hoc reporting to meet finance leadership needs. Collaboration and Operational Oversight: Be the go-to finance team member for technical accounting guidance across the group. Collaborate with FP&A, tax, treasury, legal and operational teams on cross-functional initiatives. Stay updated with FINRA and SEC priorities and support FP&A with management accounts, allocations accuracy and variance analysis. Additional Responsibilities: May support the wider Copper Group and its subsidiaries on the responsibilities above as needed.
Your Experience, Skills And Knowledge
Qualified accountant (e.g., CPA, or equivalent) with strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS Active Series 27 license, as mandated by FINRA Rule 1200 series Proven experience in FINRA or SEC audit preferred Extensive experience in financial services, with preference for digital asset custody, trading, or settlement operations Experience in blockchain-based financial instruments and related regulatory frameworks Ability to prepare annual financial statements and regulatory reporting Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and financial statements Strong communication skills to convey financial information clearly Aptitude for identifying issues and developing solutions Proficient in Excel, NetSuite, Salesforce
