About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Finance and Accounting to serve as the senior finance leader and core executor. This hands-on role is pivotal in managing the firm's financial activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP, SEC, and FINRA regulations, and being deeply involved in financial decision-making. The successful candidate will be responsible for all accounting and finance operations, from data entry to management-level reporting, and will lead tasks such as general ledger accounting, budgeting, cash management, and risk policy establishment. Additionally, the role involves preparing and submitting various regulatory reports, designing financial processes, and partnering with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiencies.

Applicants for the VP of Finance and Accounting position at the company should be self-starters with the ability to operate autonomously, and detail-oriented, and possess a Master's degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and FINRA Series 99 license are required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate finance, advanced accounting, and regulatory issues, with experience in a broker-dealer environment and FINOP experience preferred. The role demands a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, who can manage multiple priorities and projects with a high level of integrity and dependability.
