Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) A $300M PE-backed business is seeking a seasoned finance leader to join as
Director of FP&A . This role is highly strategic, responsible for driving financial planning, forecasting, and performance management while partnering closely with senior leadership. The Director will oversee budgeting, long-range planning, and financial modeling while providing actionable insights to guide key business decisions. This leader will also play a critical role in M&A activity, internal reporting, and continuous improvement of financial processes and systems. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with executive presence, business acumen, and the ability to build and mentor high-performing teams. What you’ll do: Lead all aspects of financial planning, forecasting, and reporting Develop financial models to support strategic planning and investments Provide insights and recommendations to executives and board members Partner with business leaders to align financial goals and drive accountability Support M&A due diligence, modeling, and integration Build dashboards and KPIs to measure performance (Power BI preferred) Drive automation and process improvements across FP&A Lead, mentor, and grow a team of finance professionals What we’re looking for: 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience (at least 5 in FP&A) Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (MBA/CPA a plus) Advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling; strong knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex financials clearly Experience in dynamic, high-growth, or transformative business environments preferred This is an exciting opportunity for a finance leader who thrives in dynamic environments and wants to make a meaningful impact at the strategic level.
