Job Title: Computer Scientist Location: Bethesda, MD Eligibility: Candidate must possess an active TS/SCI clearance We are seeking a Scientific, Engineering, and Technical Assistance (SETA) Support Specialist to join our team in support of a government research funding organization dedicated to investing in high-risk, high-payoff research programs to tackle some of the most difficult challenges of national security. The successful candidate will support the government program manager by participating in or leading all activities in support of the Program lifecycle in the areas of program development, source selection, execution, closeout, and transition. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating meetings, assessing performer technical progress, projecting performer outcomes, and ensuring that project management best practices are followed by performers, independent verification and validation (IV&V) entities, and within the government funding organization itself. This research program is advancing cutting-edge methods in computer vision, 3-D reconstruction, and multi-sensor imagery analysis to create photorealistic, navigable site models. Responsibilities
Support the Program Manager in tracking schedules, deliverables, risks, and budgets. Review performer deliverables and provide technical assessments on algorithms, data integration, and rendering fidelity. Prepare and present technical reports, briefings, and updates for stakeholders. Coordinate with test and evaluation partners to align assessments with program goals. Conduct literature reviews and state-of-the-art surveys to benchmark progress. Facilitate performer meetings, site visits, and program reviews. Qualifications
Required: Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in computer vision, photogrammetry, 3-D reconstruction, or machine learning. Familiarity with multi-modal imagery (UAV, satellite, ground, surveillance). Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate technical algorithms. Excellent communication skills, including experience writing technical reports and delivering presentations. Desired
Experience supporting government R&D programs (DARPA, IARPA, DoD). Knowledge of AR/VR rendering engines (Unity, Unreal Engine). Ability to translate technical results into mission impact for diverse stakeholders. Why Join Us?
