Release Train Engineer Certification - Must have
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) with a strong background in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance industry. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience leading Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and driving digital transformation initiatives in insurance domains such as underwriting, claims, policy administration, and broker-carrier integration.
This role requires close collaboration with Product Management, System Architects, and Business Owners to ensure successful delivery across the ART. The RTE will also support the broader Lean-Agile transformation by coaching leaders and teams across the organization.
Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional Agile Release Trains (ARTs) in a SAFe environment. Facilitate ART ceremonies including PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops. Align ART objectives with business goals in commercial lines, specialty insurance, and digital broker ecosystems. Collaborate with Product Management, System Architects, and Business Owners to resolve dependencies and prioritize features. Drive continuous improvement and delivery predictability across insurance platforms and services. Monitor ART health using metrics relevant to insurance KPIs (e.g., quote-to-bind ratios, claims cycle time). Coach Agile teams and leaders on SAFe principles and Lean-Agile practices tailored to insurance workflows. Support Agile tooling and reporting across underwriting, claims, and policy servicing systems. Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and innovation within insurance delivery teams. Mandatory Skills (Must have)
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Release Train Engineer in a SAFe environment. SAFe Release Train Engineer Certification (external) is mandatory. Proven ability to lead cross-functional Agile teams in insurance transformation programs. Deep understanding of SAFe principles, Lean-Agile mindset, and Agile delivery frameworks. Strong facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills. Familiarity with Jira Agile lifecycle management tools. Ability to facilitate PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops. Prior experience in software engineering or product development in insurance. Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Seniority level
