The Senior Manager, Social Media plays a pivotal role in shaping, executing, and evolving the social media strategy across Sony Pictures' theatrical slate and studio-wide initiatives. This position is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and long-term planning of social campaigns across all major platforms, including TikTok, Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), X, YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest, and emerging platforms. This includes managing the studio's master handles and special initiatives, driving cultural relevance, and ensuring consistency across every social media touchpoint. The Senior Manager serves as the senior community manager, developing tailored voice and tone for each campaign while engaging with fans, talent, and partners to cultivate strong, authentic connections with audiences. They also oversee social account setup, verification, and content management. This role leads cross-divisional alignment efforts and manages partnerships and collaborative social strategy with PlayStation, Crunchyroll and other Sony entities. They provide content strategy guidance, manage platform relationships, coordinate live event coverage, and offer campaign performance insights through reporting tools like the Organic Social Index and Weekly Organic Social Insights. Working with the Digital Creative Pod Leads and Influencer Leads, this role oversees the development and deployment of social creative from trailer launches to platform-native assets. It also leads evergreen and franchise content strategy to support long-term IP planning. The Senior Manager collaborates with social platform partners to streamline launches and accelerate approvals, and plans live social coverage at events to deliver high-impact content. This role aims to keep Sony Pictures as a digital-first, fan-focused brand online.

Core Responsibilities

Social page management, setup, verification, and launches for each film; coordinate talent/partner needs and collaborate with Meta, X, and TikTok to optimize resources. Serve on the frontlines of consumer-studio communication; promote positive brand conversation and engage with talent, fan sites, and partners. Create social tone/voice for each film campaign and manage evergreen/franchise content strategy for Sony Pictures handles. Lead One Sony social synergy by uniting teams across Sony verticals and managing cross-divisional communications to drive collaboration. Oversee social content development and delivery from trailers to platform-native assets; plan and lead live coverage at premieres and events. Update Film Key Dates and report weekly on digital content performance; present topics to internal/external audiences as needed. Job Requirements

Social Media/Marketing background with experience creating content and identifying trends on major platforms (Meta, X, Snapchat, Pinterest, TikTok) and Giphy. Experience uploading and scheduling assets on social platforms; familiarity with digital publishing across entertainment/lifestyle/news categories. Proficiency with digital analytics/reporting tools (e.g., ListenFirst, Crimson Hexagon, Google/Adobe Analytics) and platform insights. Excellent written and verbal communication; strong presentation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiar with Adobe Photoshop. Self-starter with initiative; high energy and ownership; strong stakeholder management and multi-project prioritization. Ability to analyze data to improve results and collaborate in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications

4+ years of experience in social media campaigns/digital marketing. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Publicity experience is a plus. The anticipated base salary for this position is $109,288 to $142,075. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits.
