Director of Manufacturing at PulseForge, Inc.

Overview Director of Manufacturing is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of PulseForge’s production operations. This role ensures that equipment is built safely, on time, to specification, and within budget. The ideal candidate combines hands-on problem-solving with strong people leadership, creating a reliable and efficient operation that supports customer deliveries and company growth.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficient and timely product output.

Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet demand.

Establish and maintain detailed and accurate cost-based production reporting processes and procedures, and communicate these processes clearly to departments and teams.

Monitor and refine production processes, adjust schedules as needed, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.

Quality Control

Ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols so all products meet company standards.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of production lines.

Address and resolve quality issues promptly with the Director of Manufacturing Quality.

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of production staff and engineers.

Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of production staff and engineers.

Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.

Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.

Implement lean manufacturing techniques and best practices.

Collaborate with the engineering team to streamline production workflows.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure all production activities comply with health and safety regulations.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Conduct safety training and drills for the production team.

Subcontract Work

Manage subcontract work to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Maintain relationships with subcontractors and ensure quality standards are met.

Integrate subcontract work seamlessly with in-house production.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

7+ years of manufacturing operations experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.

Proven ability to lead teams in a production environment with complex electro-mechanical assemblies.

Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement tools.

Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling.

Strong communication skills and a hands-on leadership style.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
