Position Summary The Director of Manufacturing will lead the end-to-end manufacturing operations for a high-growth CPG brand specializing in dietary supplements and personal care products. As a key member of the executive team, the Director will be responsible for scaling operations, optimizing plant efficiency, and supporting facility expansion initiatives to meet aggressive growth targets. This role calls for a hands-on, process-minded leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about building teams, enhancing production capabilities, and upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. Responsibilities
Manufacturing Operations & Optimization Oversee daily manufacturing operations across both personal care and supplement lines. Implement and scale Lean Manufacturing principles to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and drive bottom-line results. Translate complex processes into actionable, streamlined workflows to maximize throughput and reduce variability. Maintain rigorous adherence to FDA, cGMP, and organic certification standards. Facility Expansion & Engineering Lead strategic expansion of manufacturing capabilities, including site upgrades, new production lines, and automation initiatives. Ensure technical integration of new equipment and capital investments, supporting long-term capacity and efficiency goals. Guide engineering-led innovations in production methods, driving continuous improvement and scalability. Supply Chain Integration Partner with procurement and supply chain leaders to ensure raw material availability, particularly for specialized compounds. Optimize sourcing strategies and supplier relationships for cost-efficiency and product quality. Support diversification of distribution beyond Amazon and enhance DTC fulfillment capabilities. Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across production, maintenance, and operations. Build a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and performance excellence throughout the organization. Attract, develop, and retain top manufacturing talent with a focus on career development and internal growth. Strategic Execution & Cross-functional Collaboration Align manufacturing strategy with broader business objectives, ensuring operational readiness for new product launches and market expansions. Collaborate closely with R&D, Marketing, and Sales to ensure production meets evolving market demands. Establish, monitor, and improve upon KPIs in safety, quality, cost, and delivery. Experience & Background
10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably within dietary supplements, personal care, or food manufacturing. Proven success in scaling operations within high-growth environments or contract manufacturing settings. Experience overseeing vertically integrated operations—from sourcing to fulfillment. Demonstrated P&L responsibility and cost optimization achievements. Strong foundation in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or continuous improvement methodologies. Skilled in engineering-led production innovation, new line implementation, and process automation. Deep knowledge of FDA-regulated environments and quality control systems. Leadership & Skills
Hands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the production floor. Ability to simplify complexity into clear processes and actions.
