Allied Universal is seeking a Security Professional - Unarmed Patrol - Government Site in San Jose, CA. This is a Part-Time role offering opportunities for hands-on site experience, flexible scheduling, and growth within a dynamic, diverse, and inclusive workplace. As an unarmed officer with Allied Universal, you will help maintain a secure environment at a government location and support clients across various industries. What You’ll Do
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including government, commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Provide consistent, professional security presence and customer service Operate a vehicle as part of duties on this driving post Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff; respond to incidents as they arise Work collaboratively with your team to uphold Allied Universal values of reliability, innovation, and putting people first Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols Conduct regular and random tours around the government location and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while representing Allied Universal Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and timely Remain alert and attentive to surroundings during tours to deter security-related incidents What We’re Looking For
Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements A Guard Card is preferred Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles Possess a high school diploma or equivalent Background investigation as per federal, state, and local laws; Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws Drug screen as permitted by law Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only Why Join Us
