The Activities Director plays a central role in planning and executing programs that bring joy, stimulation, and connection to residents. From games and crafts to group outings and wellness activities, you’ll build a calendar that keeps our community engaged and thriving. Salary:
$40,000-$60,000 annually (Negotiable, depending on experience) plus benefits Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and manage a comprehensive calendar of events and activities for residents. Meet individually with residents to understand their interests, needs, and capabilities. Encourage participation in daily activities and facilitate inclusive programming for all ability levels. Cultivate relationships with local organizations, businesses, schools, and volunteers to enhance resident experiences and support events. Lead a team of staff and volunteers to coordinate activity logistics and ensure smooth execution. Promote activities through flyers, newsletters, and internal communication, while also ensuring families are informed and involved. Manage inventory and budgeting for supplies and equipment. Support positive public relations by coordinating media outreach and correspondence related to special events. Qualifications
2+ years of experience in social or recreational programming (preferably within a senior living or healthcare setting). Associate degree preferred. Prior supervisory or team leadership experience. Strong communication, creativity, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Previous experience working with older adults is strongly preferred. Excellent organizational and planning skills required. About The Company
