Save Job

The Sensors Division specializes in the development of advanced sensor systems, with a focus on airborne and surface-based radar, space-based sensing, electronic warfare, and underwater acoustics. This position is within the Space Missions and Sensing (SMS) Sector of the Sensors Division, where we develop and deliver technology to advance space-based sensing, space control, and counter-sensing missions. The Role

SMS is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to support the development, implementation, and integration of real-time processing solutions in software for advanced multi-function radar systems. You will implement and integrate digital signal processing over the complete signal processing chain for closed-loop radar operations, and conduct performance analysis through simulations and real-world testing to validate and optimize the products you create. The system will be deployed in operational environments, so the products must meet standards of quality, maintainability, and reuse. This role offers opportunities for technical growth in system design, novel implementations, integration, and fielding of radar systems. The successful candidate will have demonstrated contributions in areas such as software engineering, system integration, radar signal processing, and test & evaluation. The position requires skills in working with multi-disciplinary teams, an interest in signal processing, and the ability to develop and deliver system solutions for operations. Strong interpersonal, communication, and technical skills are required. Applicants should be self-motivated, detail oriented, and able to communicate effectively. What you will do

Support development of innovative radar systems through implementation of digital signal processing (DSP) Support system-level integration with Hardware in the Loop testing and fielding of ground systems for closed-loop operations Design and implement signal processing software solutions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and/or develop system requirements and specifications Conduct performance analysis through simulations and real-world testing to validate and optimize system performance Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders to convey technical concepts and project updates Support documentation, design specifications, test plans, and reports as needed Who you are

Active Security Clearance at the Secret level, for which U.S. citizenship is required by U.S. government Demonstrated experience implementing software engineering solutions in C++ Working knowledge of digital signal processing Experience in preparing and delivering briefings; familiarity with technical reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TIMS) Bachelors degree with at least 7 years of applicable experience; Masters degree with at least 5 years; or PhD with at least 2 years. Equivalent experience will be considered Even Better
