WSP is currently seeking a full-time
Outreach Specialist
based in our Oakland or San Francisco office. Become a member of our Advisory Services/Communications & Public Involvement (CPI) Team and be part of a growing organization of professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to join our national team of talented communications and public outreach/public information professionals.
The primary goal of the Outreach Specialist is to provide program information via phone, email, and occasional worksite visits to the Bay Area Commuter Benefits Program Operation’s customers, including employers and the general public. The objective is to assist employers within the Bay Area Air Quality Management District geographic boundaries in complying with the Bay Area Commuter Benefits Program and completing registration as well as offering commuter benefits to employees.

Responsibilities
Deliver inbound and outbound emails and phone calls to Bay Area employers
Respond and provide information in real-time (standard business hours) with clear and concise information regarding program options within a customer service framework
Maintain/oversee the accuracy of program databases and reports to reflect activities completed
Contribute content for the monthly report documenting efforts and outcomes
Work alongside the Commuter Benefits Program team to deliver employer outreach, customer communications, gather and monitor program metrics and support program success
Help support branding and message consistency for the Commuter Benefits Program and related regional programs
Offer process and operations protocol improvements and help establish/refine standard operating procedures
Be a resident of the San Francisco Bay Area and have the ability to occasionally travel to employer worksites within the nine-county Bay Area
Exercise prudent, independent judgment and maintain excellent customer relations skills
Perform under minimal supervision with strong decision-making, problem-solving, multi-tasking and workload balancing skills
Maintain accurate and meticulous records
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat
Quickly grasp and thoroughly understand the Bay Area’s transportation modes and key systems as well as the Bay Area Commuter Benefits Program
Inform stakeholders about the program and work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
Support a project team in all communications and outreach efforts, including attending public events and creating organization of public meeting/event documentation and materials
Support the implementation of communications plans by the program team and manage outreach with community and employer stakeholders, including supporting the management of an outreach contractor
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications/marketing, business or related field, or equivalent work experience in customer service, outside sales, consulting or professional services
Experience working with a database and familiarity with secure handling of PII
A minimum of two years of experience in communications and/or outreach, public information or business-to-business marketing/customer services
Experience with infrastructure, transportation or other complex projects and/or air quality topics
Superior command of the English language, with excellent written and oral communication and proofreading skills
Attention to detail and prior experience with quality assurance/quality control
Outstanding interpersonal communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with all levels within an organization and on a project level
Excellent organizational and time management skills and experience coordinating with team members and subcontractors
Preferred Qualifications
Fluency in Spanish or Chinese is a plus

Compensation Expected Salary (all locations): $64,000-$109,780
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other protected status.
