Onboard Systems Hoist & Winch, located in Anaheim, CA, is one of the world’s leading providers of Search & Rescue (SAR) and Human External Cargo (HEC) advanced mission equipment for civil, commercial, and military helicopters.
Position Overview Location: Anaheim, CA (Onsite)
We are seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team at our manufacturing facility. The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will perform mechanical design and analysis tasks to aid in resolving issues for legacy products.
What You’ll Do
Representative responsibilities include flight hardware and test equipment improvement, failure investigation, material review board, customer and vendor support.
Typical activities include mechanical analysis, reviewing and writing technical documents, designing mechanical components and updating drawings.
The engineer will coordinate with manufacturing, field service, quality, test, analysis and electrical disciplines.
Other duties as assigned.
Who You Are
Working knowledge of electromechanical systems; strong mechanical engineering fundamentals across a broad range of topics such as statics, materials, and thermal.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
Experience in analysis, modeling and drawing generation.
Excellent technical writing and PC skills.
Ability to work with all levels of engineering and management personnel and positively interact in a team environment.
Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems such as motors and controllers or actuators.
Experience in design and analysis for Military or Commercial Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).
Familiarity with DO-160 or MIL-STD-810 is desirable.
Familiarity with helicopter subsystems is highly desirable.
Familiarity with aircraft Qualification and Regulatory requirements.
