Onboard Systems Hoist & Winch in Anaheim, CA, specializes in Search & Rescue (SAR) and Human External Cargo (HEC) equipment for helicopters.
Position Overview
Location: Anaheim, CA (Onsite)
We are hiring a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for our manufacturing facility. The role involves mechanical design and analysis to support legacy products.
What You’ll Do
- Improve flight hardware and test equipment, investigate failures, support material review board, and assist customers and vendors.
- Conduct mechanical analysis, review and create technical documents, design components, and update drawings.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, field service, quality, test, analysis, and electrical teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are
- Knowledge of electromechanical systems and strong fundamentals in mechanics, materials, and thermal topics.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- Experience with analysis, modeling, and drawing creation.
- Excellent technical writing and PC skills.
- Ability to collaborate with engineering and management teams.
- Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems like motors, controllers, or actuators.
- Experience with design and analysis of Military or Commercial LRUs.
- Familiarity with DO-160 or MIL-STD-810 is a plus.
- Experience with helicopter subsystems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of aircraft qualification and regulatory standards.
