Overview
Biomedical Field Service Engineer
role at BioView. The successful candidate will live in the Boston, MA area and serve as a support and training engineer for clients in the Americas. They will provide our new and existing customers comprehensive training of the BioView imaging products line, deliver prompt support to users, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. They will maintain technical expertise in all aspects of BioView products, including biological, computerized, and optical features. Responsibilities
Installation of BioView systems at customers sites Training of new users to successfully operate the BioView systems and software Demonstrating BioView systems and applications Provide remote and on-site support to BioView customers by installing, fine-tuning, and maintaining BioView systems and applications Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures Document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfaction Frequent travel required, 60-70% of the time, mostly within the US and Canada; may travel to other regions as needed Requirements
Bachelors degree or equivalent in life science, biomed, or a technical field Familiarity with Microscopy, Cytogenetics, Fluorescence In-situ Hybridization (FISH), Cell Morphology, and Immunostaining analysis is an advantage Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Problem solver with good technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Computer and network knowledge is a plus Ability to understand computer algorithms and to tune parameters Outstanding ability to explain, demonstrate, and present new biological and technical concepts to new users Other Requirements
Handle stress effectively Willingness to work outside of normal working hours and, in rare cases, on weekends Valid passport Valid drivers license Company Description
