Overview
Manufacturing Engineer position. This role focuses on developing and improving manufacturing methods, processes, and systems to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
Responsibilities
Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment capabilities.
Apply engineering principles to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, R&D, and supply chain, to achieve project goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing engineering role, or a related industry, is a plus.
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, systems, and technology, including CNC machining, additive manufacturing, assembly, and quality control.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for designing and improving manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma techniques for process improvement and waste reduction.
Understanding of engineering standards, health and safety regulations, and environmental impact in the manufacturing industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
