Support train testing of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems Troubleshoot and correct problems as required Develop test procedures and reports for all systems based on engineering documentation and customer specifications Test, troubleshoot, and correct wiring issues Work with electrical tools such as track sniffers, oscilloscopes, shunting equipment, and multimeters Know computer and network systems: Windows, Wireshark, SSH, Telnet Experience in field environments, train control rooms or bungalows, wayside tracks Experience with tests on switch machines, track circuits (PF and AF), signals, microprocessors (VPI, Microlok and/or Electrologix) Qualifications
Bachelors degree in engineering or related field Signaling or telecom background Ability to read electrical cabling drawings and diagrams Familiar with LANs, WANs, network routers, firewalls and TCP/IP Knowledge of industrial communication protocols Experience configuring and troubleshooting wired and wireless network equipment Experience with common network troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark) Experience with SCADA systems and components (servers, RTU, PLC) Cybersecurity knowledge is a plus Railway experience is a plus Salary
Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000 The actual salary offered is dependent on location and the candidate’s combination of knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
