Support train testing of all electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems Troubleshoot and correct problems as required Develop Test Procedures and Reports for all systems based on engineering documentation and customer specifications Test, troubleshoot, and correct wiring issues Work with electrical tools such as track sniffer, oscilloscope, shunting equipment, and multimeter Be knowledgeable about computer and network systems: Windows, Wireshark, SSH, Telnet Apply experience in field environments, train control rooms or wayside facilities Execute tests on switch machines, track circuits (PF and AF), signals, and microprocessors (VPI, Microlok and/or Electrologix) Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field Signaling or telecom background Ability to read and understand electrical cabling drawings and diagrams Familiarity with LANs, WANs, network routers, firewalls, and TCP/IP technologies Knowledge of industrial communication protocols Experience configuring and troubleshooting wired and wireless network equipment Experience with common network troubleshooting tools (like Wireshark) Experience with SCADA systems and components (servers, RTU, PLC) Cybersecurity knowledge is a plus Experience in railway environments is a plus Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000 The actual salary offered depends on location, the candidate's combination of knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
