Overview

Reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with Programs, Development, and rental staff, the Marketing Manager will plan and manage marketing strategies, social media accounts, and graphic design. They will help with communications and public relations and be a key member of the team managing the website, including plans for a website overhaul in the coming fiscal year. Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Management

Develop and execute integrated marketing plans that drive awareness, engagement, and growth of the organization Work with other staff to promote tours of our mansion, visitation to our grounds, educational programs, fundraising programs, and event rentals Ensure all marketing materials maintain brand consistency Digital Marketing & Social Media

Oversee digital advertising campaigns (Google Ads, paid social posts, email marketing, etc.) Manage the website content system for goreplace.org and make updates for SEO, visibility, and performance Develop, strategize, write, and manage content across all social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.) Public Relations & Communications

Distribute press releases, media pitches, and announcements Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and business partners in the community Graphic Design & Printed Materials

Manage deadlines for printed newsletters, postcards, and brochures Develop the creative look of digital/printed materials and identify potential vendors for design/printing as needed throughout the process Major Events & Festivals

Create and/or update festival maps, schedules, and vendor communications for our Sheepshearing Festival that attracts over 6,000 people Photograph major events for social media and advertising, post live social media updates, and monitor visitor comments online during events Assist with a variety of special events, including but not limited to a spring fundraising dinner, a fall Farm to Table dinner, a December reception, historically themed tea parties, and spring plant sale Reporting & Analytics

Collect data from multiple digital sources to gain insight into user behaviors and make improvements as needed for better user experience Monitor website performance & activity to ensure all channels are optimized Qualifications

Ability to remain highly organized while managing a variety of tasks Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience of 5+ years in marketing, digital marketing, social media, or PR) Effective written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills Experience managing a budget and coordinating the needs of multiple departments Proficiency in marketing tools (Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, Canva/Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) and the ability to learn in a fast-paced environment Experience managing paid media campaigns and SEO best practices Creative thinker with a mindset for improving processes and workflows Ability to work independently and as a part of a team Nice to Have

Experience with influencer partnerships and affiliate marketing Video editing skills An interest in and knowledge of American history, farming, or material culture a plus Knowledge of museum practices and events in a museum setting Compensation

Full time Salary range from $50,000 to $60,000 depending on experience Eligible for vacation, health care, and retirement benefits About Gore Place

Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the mission of Gore Place is to preserve and promote the country estate of Christopher and Rebecca Gore as a unique community resource that tells the story of early 19th century American life.
